About the AI Act(ing) in Adult Education (AAA) Project.

Artificial Intelligence is no longer a future concept; it is actively reshaping the adult education landscape. However, many education professionals lack structured training, leaving a gap between technological potential and classroom reality. The Erasmus+ project AI Act(ing) in Adult Education was born from the urgent need to bridge this gap. We ensure that educators are not just passive users of AI, but critical decision-makers who can navigate ethical considerations, risk assessments, and the legal requirements of the European AI Act.

What We Aim to Achieve

  • Build AI Literacy: Equipping adult  educators with the foundational skills to understand AI’s capabilities and limitations.
  • Foster Ethical Thinking: Encouraging a deep understanding of AI ethics, bias, and data privacy to protect learners.
  • Bridging Policy and Practice: Translating the complex requirements of the EU AI Act into practical, daily teaching tools.
  • Digital Resilience: Ensuring that adult education providers can adapt to future technological shifts with confidence.

Who is this project for?

Our primary focus is on adult educators across Europe, including those in vocational training, community learning centers, and lifelong learning initiatives. Additionally, we provide strategic value for educational managers and policymakers who need to implement the AI Act at an institutional level.

A Lasting Change in European Education

By the end of the project in April 2028, we expect to have trained over 90 educators directly and reached thousands more through our open-access AI Training Course and Best-Practice Guide. Our results will remain freely available in five languages (EN, DE, FR, EL, ES), creating a sustainable ecosystem for AI literacy in the adult education sector.
